Artist Profile:

I was born in October, 1983 in New Jersey. I moved to lovely Southern California at age five, where I still live and work today. Having always been attracted to creativity in all aspects, I was constantly involved with projects in the performing arts, fine arts, and music. My official artistic education began at the University of California - Irvine, where I was taught a broad range of mediums including drawing, sculpture, and photography. Ultimately, I discovered my passion for painting, and was able to study with artists such as Kevin Appel and Steve Criqui. In 2005, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art. Years of working in the home design and decor field led me to fall in love with the basic elements of color, texture, and pattern. In each painting, different soft and organic backgrounds are controlled and offset by stark, angular foregrounds. It's inspiring how the different textures and colors both contrast and compliment each other.
